Garden in a Recycled Container Competition

Thank you to Mary Pole, Mandy Butler and Christine Robinson from Westminster Park Residents Association's (WPRA) Gardening Club who were the judges of the Garden in a Container Competition. They had a really tough job to do as we had over 45 entries. It was decided that everyone would receive a prize due to the amount of effort that everyone had put into their entry. Congratulations to all who took part!

The WPRA donated two bird feeders and a starter pack of bird seed as joint 1st prizes and more than 30 packets of seeds for all the runners up. The school awarded tomato plants to the entries which received a "highly commended" from the judges.  The gardens are now in the Reception play area and can either be donated to school or collected to be taken home.

We mustn't forget to thank Mrs Amner, Mrs Price and the Eco Committee for coming up with such a wonderful idea. Mary Pole would love this to become an annual event so let's see what everyone will come up with next year!
