Shiver Me Timbers
Pirate Day was a huge success. Thank you so much for the effort that everyone made with their costumes. The children enjoyed making eye patches, writing messages in bottles and using their cardboard tube telescopes. Their was some amazing pirate role play outdoors where the children built some impressive slips using the large junk.
Pirate biscuits were decorated, slow motion cutlass battles took place and the children carefully followed instructions to make grog to keep them warm after all the scrubbing that had been keeping them busy outdoors.
We had beautiful sunshine for our pirate picnic.
The children have been learning a pirate counting song with some Makaton actions. This song will also be performed by Reception pupils dressed in our best Pirate costumes at the PTA welcome back event 'Here comes the Sun' on Friday 21st April at 5.15pm. You will recieve an email giving you more infomation about this event.
