Chris Matheson MP Visited Belgrave
Chris Matheson MP visited the school on Friday 29th September. The Reception children showed him the traps they had made to catch the Evil Peas (the activities were based on a story that was brought to life this week in Reception) and then Chris Matheson spent time in all the classrooms. The School Council, Eco Committee, Sports Council, Road Safety and E Safety Officers from Year 1 to 5 then met to record ideas about how to spend the school's Sports Premium Grant, prioritise school grounds projects and decide what we should spend money on that is raised by PTA.
The pupil reps showed that they are responsible and thoughtful and they were able to answer question asked by Chris Matheson. Chris Matheson then answered some questions that they had been asked to ask by their class. These included questions about what it is like to be an MP and which football team he supports!
